Harvard University researchers found guys who ate more fish like salmon and tuna—had a 65% greater sperm concentration than those who ate the least.
On the other hand, men who eat lots of red and processed meat had significantly lower counts of normal-shaped sperm.
3. You wear lose underwear
Tighty whities can be a bit restricting for your manhood and it’s also suffocating for your swimmers.
Men who wear boxer shorts instead of tight-fitting underwear are 24% less likely to have a low-motile sperm count, according to a 2012 study.
Low motile sperm become sluggish faster and finds it hard to reach the egg successfully.
Sleeping in the buff is good for your health and fertility, according to scientists.
Men who wear boxers during the day, but sleep naked at night had 25% less damage to their sperm, compared to the men who wore contracting underwear in bed.
The researchers from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, Maryland, and Stanford University followed 500 men for up to 12 months, tracking their underwear choices and monitoring their sperm quality.
4. You avoid microwaves
Reheating your food in a tupperware container could be detrimental for your sperm.
This is because a chemical called bisphenol-A (BPA) can leach from plastics and seap into your food.
Researchers from Denmark found than men who had the highest levels of BPA in their urine had a significantly lower percentage of motile sperm.
So think twice before you nuke your lunch or at least transfer it into a glass container.
Items such as cheese, shower curtains, sunscreen and car dashboards could also be ruining men’s sperm, reproduction researchers revealed.
